It is a truth heavenly accepted that you are loved. Love is perhaps one of the most popular themes or subjects ever talked about or acted out by us as humans. It is a part of our human condition to be affirmed, accepted, celebrated, cheered, and validated by our efforts and for our efforts. We are born and meant to live in communities which would help to cultivate this love. Through love, we get customs, laws, enactments and policies because at the root of it, love is meant to protect us from harm and danger even if we can’t see it. Love is also restorative, it has redeeming qualities such as to welcome someone back into the community if they happen to commit an act which forces them for a time to be away from the community. Love is also healing. It releases hormones such as oxytocin, dopamine and serotonin often referred to as our happy hormones . Whenever we bond with one another, this causes us to feel a surge of positive emotions.
For some of us love may seem to be elusive no matter how we act, the things we say and do , there is perhaps a sense of unrequitedness. However, this isn’t necessarily because we did anything wrong ( even though we could have done something wrong). There may be other reasons which are outside of our control. You see for love to take its full effect there must be reciprocity. Love must be felt and it must have an action. Love has it's fruits and it is called to bear good fruit. Actually, Galations 5: 22-23, reveals that love is a composite fruit of the spirt and out of this fruit, comes also peace, joy, patience, kindness, self - control, gentleness and generosity, paving the way for what God wants to do in our hearts. Love also has an element of choice. Hosea , the old testament prophet had a two-fold dilemma on his hands . First, he possessed an awareness of knowing God and knowing God’s heart for the people of his time even in their sins . Second, he was a man and father in anguish over the unfaithful actions of his wife and mother of his children. It truly must not have been the easiest of times for Hosea. No matter the love from God towards His people, and no matter how Hosea loved his wife, they in a moment of time rejected love.
Love brings with it demands and necessities and so too does God. God is love, and He manifests His love towards us through His Son Jesus Christ. Our choosing to reject God’s love brings with it, its own set of consequences which is the result of our disobedience. God is not evil; He does not set out to punish us. More than anything He loves us, whether we deserve to be loved or not. God’s love is not dependent on how we feel or how many times we mess up. His love is meant to pull us towards Him. His love is meant to protect us. His love is meant to heal us. God wants us under His banner , house or tent always. I pray you will feel the loving embrace of the divine love which has no height or depth to be measured. You may not even feel it but you must surely know it. You are loved and God loves you. Shalom.

Beautifully written & truly edifies my soul;
Looking forward to your next post😊
I love the statement in the article "More than anything He loves us, whether we deserve to be loved or not. God’s love is not dependent on how we feel or how many times we mess up." God loves me, just because He made me and not what I have/havent done. I am loved by the most high God.
